SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year, the Rotary Club of Sri Lanka awards $166,000 or more to 77 local students to assist them toward degreed studies. It is the largest college scholarship program among Sri Lanka service clubs.
There are four types of scholarships for graduating high school seniors - College Scholarships, Colombo College Scholarships, English College Scholarships and Past Presidents' Technical Education Scholarships.
All scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, financial need, community and school service and personal qualities and strengths. A committee of SLR members makes the final selection.
Each college scholarship will be renewed only if the recipient meets the grade point average requirement and remains enrolled as a full time student with a minimum of 12 units for the coming academic year.
